Description
Giant Bellflower (Campanula latifolia)
Found mainly in lowland woods and hedgerows, the Giant Bellflower is a tall, elegant, shade tolerant perennial with white or pale lilac, bell-shaped flowers in mid to high summer. Grows up to 150 cm tall.
Sowing: Can be sown at any time of year, but best in early autumn or in spring. Sow in trays or pots of moist compost and transplant to a lightly shaded, well-drained site or sow directly at the site on the surface of a finely prepared seed bed pressing down lightly. Keep young plants watered & weeded.
