Ox-eye Daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare)
This tall, perennial meadow daisy can be found all over Scotland. Its yellow and white flowers can be seen from June to September. Ox-eye Daisy has many other names including Gowan, Neòinean Mòr, Moon Daisy & Midsummer Daisy.
Sowing:Can be sown at any time of year, but best in early autumn or in spring. Sow in trays or pots of moist compost & transplant to a lightly shaded or open sunny site or sow directly onto the surface of a fine-raked seed bed, pressing down lightly. Water well & keep young plants weeded.
